 Organic Waste Programs

Our prize program is how we handle organic waste. Organic waste is a key element to healthy soil. The term “organic” refers to anything that contains the element Carbon. In gardening, this is simply all cut greenery and dead plant matter. In nature, the bulk visible organic waste typically resides on the surface of the soil. The organic waste slowly decays into smaller bits and pieces until over the years it will make its way into the soil and supply nutrients to the micro organisms in the soil. These micro organisms break down the organic waste which opens up a whole realm of nutrients which all plants use to grow. Our programs exponentially accelerate the natural process of breaking down organic waste so we can utilize all the locked up nutrients as long lasting fertilizer.

All organic waste we process is either composted or used to build soil. Composted waste is turned into soil products we utilize on projects, so virtually all organic waste is repurposed and never reaches a dump facility.

Near Zero Waste means nearly everything that comes in contact with Nature’s Gardener is recycled, re-purposed, up-cycled, or composted. We have a very small list of items that we haven’t found a way to utilize after we come in contact with it.
